Helio Vega

A native of Madrid, Helio Vega began in motion graphics as a self-taught designer and audiovisual artist. His professional career began its evolution at Zapping advertising agency and at the same time, he was completing Arts & Graphic Design studies, and eventually landed him international experience in Canada at Front and Big Studios.

Helio has always recognized that his passion for this work comes form within. As he says, “My primary goal is to communicate the very essence of what I feel.” His work is not simply animated graphics and visuals; it is the transmission of an emotional concept through layers of movement, sound and timing.

Currently, Helio is freelancing in Madrid for such studios as Digital Kitchen, Gearshift Studios and JL Design, as well as clients including Canal+, Samsung, Discovery, Domestika, Microsoft and MTV.

I love how Kubrick’s movies surround you. In my opinion, each scene of those movies contains a subtle poem of beauty.

Kyle Cooper

When I started Arts and Graphics studies was the time that Kyle Cooper and Imaginary Forces shows to the world what they can do with animated graphics and title sequences. Now in his Prologue, he keeps the same visual philosophy and working with a new creative and design team.

Designers must continue doing some motion works with manual techniques instead of use just computer graphics, so we can obtain more organic and realistic visual results. This is something I have learned from him.

Since his work at KDLab, I admire the storytelling of his movies. Also, I like the elegant, soft and clean 3D enviroment. As many people around world, I am waiting to watch “Tron 2” by his hand.

Philip Glass

I have a few stages in my frame design process. When I am conceptualizing and designing the visual for any piece, normally I listen classical and orchestral music, as Mr. Glass’s work.
